Lenz AI uses credits to run AI generations. This page explains how you get credits, how they are spent, and what happens to unused credits.
1. What credits are
Credits are virtual items that exist only inside Lenz AI. They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred between accounts or sold. Your current balance is always visible at the top of the app.
2. How you get credits
- Free accounts receive a small monthly allowance of credits for selected image tools.
- Pro subscriptions include a credit allowance that is added at the start of each billing period (every week, month or year depending on your plan). The allowance for each plan is shown before you subscribe.
- Credit packs are one-time purchases that add credits on top of a Pro plan.
- We may occasionally grant bonus credits for promotions or to make up for a service problem.
3. How credits are spent
Every generation costs a set number of credits that is shown on the Generate button before you start. The cost depends on the tool, the AI model selected, the output resolution and, for video, the duration and whether sound is included. Video generation and premium models cost more than image generation. We publish the current cost table inside the app.
Credits are deducted when a generation starts. If a generation fails because of an error on our side, the credits are returned to your balance automatically. Credits are not returned when a generation completes but you do not like the result, when you cancel a generation that has already started, or when a request is rejected by our safety filters after processing has begun.
4. Unused credits and expiry
- Unused subscription credits carry over into the next billing period as long as your subscription stays active, up to a maximum balance of twice your plan’s allowance. Credits above that limit are not added.
- When a subscription ends, the account returns to the free plan and any remaining subscription credits are removed at the end of the paid period.
- Purchased credit packs do not currently have an expiry date. If we ever introduce one, we will give notice in advance and it will not apply to credits you already bought.
5. Changes to credit costs
AI model costs change often, so we may raise or lower the number of credits a feature costs at any time. The cost shown in the app at the moment you start a generation is the cost you pay. Changes never reduce the credits already in your balance.
6. Fraud and abuse
We may remove credits or suspend an account if credits were obtained through a bug, automation, multiple accounts, a reversed payment or any other misuse of the Service.
