Terms of Use — Parley

Last updated: October 1, 2026

Parley is operated by CHNH CORP (“CHNH CORP”, “we”, “our” or “us”), the Canadian company behind LenzVive and Lenz AI. These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your use of the Parley: AI Couples Mediator app for iOS and the services it provides (the “Service”). Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information and forms part of these Terms.

By creating an account or using Parley you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who can use Parley

Parley is for adults. You must be 18 or older to create an account, and you confirm this when you sign up. You must also be legally able to enter into a contract where you live. You may only use Parley for yourself and your own relationship, not on behalf of someone else.

2. What Parley is, and what it is not

Parley is an AI relationship coach. You talk to it by voice, in private, and it helps you understand what you feel, see your partner’s side, and find words you could say. If both partners use Parley, each of you talks to the same coach from your own account, and your conversations stay private from each other except for what you explicitly choose to share.

Parley is not a person, and it is not therapy, counseling, medical care, legal advice or any other professional service. It does not diagnose, treat or replace a licensed professional, and you should not rely on it as such. The coach is an AI: it can misunderstand you, be wrong, or say things that don’t fit your situation. Use your own judgement, and seek professional help when you need it.

Parley cannot help in an emergency. If you or someone else is in danger, call 911 (or your local emergency number). If you are in crisis, call or text 988 in the United States. If you are afraid of your partner, the National Domestic Violence Hotline is 1-800-799-7233.

3. Your account

You need an account to use Parley. Keep your sign-in details private; you are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us right away if you believe someone else is using it. You may delete your account at any time from within the app or by contacting us; deleting your account removes your conversations and memory as described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Subscriptions, trials and billing

Some features require a paid subscription, “Parley Plus”. We currently offer a yearly plan and a monthly plan; prices are shown in the app before you buy and may vary by country.

  • Billing through Apple. Subscriptions are purchased through the Apple App Store and charged to your Apple account. Apple handles payment, receipts and refunds; we never see your card details.
  • Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel in your device’s Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; it does not refund the current period.
  • Free trial. The yearly plan may include a free trial for new subscribers. If you don’t cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, the subscription starts and your Apple account is charged for the first period. Trial eligibility is determined by Apple, and a trial is offered once per Apple account.
  • One subscription for both partners. When partner pairing is available, one active subscription covers both paired partners. If the paying partner cancels or the couple unpairs, the other partner loses access when the current period ends.
  • Refunds. Refund requests are handled by Apple under its policies.
  • Changes. We may change prices or plans. Changes to the price of an existing subscription apply from the next renewal, and Apple will notify you first where required.
  • Fair use. Voice conversations are limited to a daily amount of talk time per person (currently 30 minutes a day, which may be lower during a free trial). We may adjust these limits to keep the Service reliable.

5. Your conversations and content

What you say to Parley is yours. By using the Service you allow us to process your voice and your conversations so that the coach can respond, remember what matters to you, and, where you have opted in to partner features, prepare the brief insights and messages described in our Privacy Policy. We do not use your conversations to train AI models.

Your voice is processed in real time by our AI provider (currently OpenAI) to hold the conversation. We do not keep recordings of your raw audio after a session ends. The Privacy Policy describes what we keep, for how long, and how to delete it.

6. Partner features

Parley’s partner features are built around consent. Your partner never receives your transcript or recording. Nothing you say is quoted to your partner, and the coach never confirms or denies what either of you has said. The only things that cross between partners are:

  • a short, AI-generated insight the coach may use internally to help your partner’s own session, never your raw words; and
  • a message you explicitly review and approve in “Help me say this”. Once delivered, that message is visible to your partner and cannot be unsent.

Either partner can unpair at any time. Pairing does not give either partner any access to the other’s account.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use Parley to harass, threaten, control or deceive your partner or anyone else;
  • use it for anyone under 18, or let anyone under 18 use your account;
  • try to extract your partner’s private conversations, or to make the coach reveal them;
  • interfere with the Service, reverse engineer it, scrape it, or use it to build a competing product;
  • use it in a way that breaks the law or the rights of others.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

8. Intellectual property

Parley, its name, logo, design, software and content belong to CHNH CORP or its licensors. We give you a personal, limited, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, under these Terms and the App Store’s rules. You keep ownership of what you say and write in the app.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we make no promises that Parley will be accurate, reliable, uninterrupted or fit for a particular purpose, and we disclaim all warranties, express or implied. AI-generated responses may be inaccurate or incomplete, and you use them at your own discretion.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, CHNH CORP and its directors, employees and providers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, relationships, income or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations, so they may not fully apply to you.

11. Indemnity

You agree to defend and hold CHNH CORP harmless from claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Service.

12. Ending the Service

You can stop using Parley and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service; where reasonable we will give you notice. Sections 5 and 8 to 14 survive termination.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Parley evolves. We will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top. If a change materially affects your rights, we will notify you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Parley after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be heard in the courts of Montréal, Québec, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere. Nothing in these Terms limits consumer rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

15. Apple

These Terms are between you and CHNH CORP, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it, and is not responsible for addressing any claim relating to it, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, or intellectual property claims. If the app fails to meet an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, which may refund the purchase price; Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or listed as a prohibited party, and you will comply with any applicable third-party terms when using the app.
