Lenz AI is operated by LenzVive (“LenzVive”, “we”, “our” or “us”), a creative media company based in Canada. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Lenz AI mobile apps for iOS and Android, the Lenz AI web app at lenzai.lenzvive.com, and related services (together, the “Service”), how we use it, and the choices you have.
By using Lenz AI you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Information we collect
Account information. When you create an account we collect your email address and, if you sign in with Google or Apple, the name and email address that provider shares with us. You can also use Lenz AI as a guest with limited features, in which case we create an anonymous account identifier on your device.
Content you provide. To use AI features you may upload photos, videos, text prompts and, for some tools, audio. We also store the images and videos that Lenz AI generates for you so that you can find them again in your library.
Purchase information. Subscriptions and credit packs are sold through the Apple App Store and Google Play. We receive confirmation of your purchase, the product purchased and its status (for example active, expired or refunded). We never receive or store your card number or billing address.
Usage and device information. We automatically collect the type of device and operating system you use, your app version, language, approximate location derived from your IP address, the features you use, the credits you spend, crash reports and diagnostic logs.
Support messages. If you contact us or send feedback from inside the app, we keep the message and your contact details so that we can reply.
2. How we use your information
- To provide the Service: run the AI generation you requested, deliver results, keep your library, and manage your credits and subscription.
- To keep the Service safe: detect fraud, abuse, and content that violates our Terms & Conditions, including automated safety filters that screen prompts and images.
- To improve Lenz AI: understand which features are used, fix bugs, and measure performance.
- To communicate with you: answer support requests and send service notices about your account or purchases.
- To measure our marketing: understand which advertising campaigns bring new users to the app (see section 4).
- To comply with the law and enforce our terms.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use the photos or videos you upload to train AI models.
3. AI processing and service providers
Lenz AI does not run AI models on your device. When you start a generation, the content needed for that request (for example your prompt and the photo you selected) is sent over an encrypted connection to the AI provider that powers the model you chose. Depending on the tool, these providers currently include Google (Gemini, Veo and Nano Banana models), OpenAI (GPT Image models), Kuaishou (Kling models), ByteDance (Seedance models) and specialised AI infrastructure providers for tasks such as upscaling, background removal and face swap. Each provider processes your content only to produce the result you requested and under contractual terms that prohibit using it for their own purposes.
The Service is hosted on Google Cloud and Firebase (authentication, storage and databases). Your uploads and generated results are stored in your private account space and are not publicly accessible.
Before your content is sent to an AI provider for the first time, the app asks for your consent. You can decline, in which case AI features are unavailable but you can still browse the app.
4. Analytics and advertising measurement
We use analytics and attribution tools to understand how Lenz AI is used and whether our advertising works. These include Firebase Analytics and Mixpanel (product analytics), AppsFlyer (install attribution) and the Meta and TikTok measurement SDKs (advertising measurement). These tools receive usage events such as app opens, feature use and purchases, together with device identifiers where you have allowed it.
On iOS we only use the advertising identifier if you allow tracking in the App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can change this at any time in your device settings under Privacy & Security. On Android you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device’s Google settings.
We do not show third-party advertising inside Lenz AI.
5. Content rules and other people’s faces
Some Lenz AI tools change a person’s face, body or appearance. You may only upload photos or videos of yourself, or of other people who have given you their permission. Uploading content of minors in these tools is not allowed. We may use automated filters and human review to detect misuse and may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
6. Data retention
- Uploads and generated results stay in your library until you delete them or delete your account.
- Temporary files created during a generation are deleted from our servers shortly after the job completes.
- Account, purchase and credit records are kept for as long as your account exists, and afterwards only as long as required for accounting, fraud prevention and legal obligations.
- Analytics data is kept in aggregated or pseudonymised form.
7. Your rights and choices
You can access and delete individual images and videos in the app. You can update your display name from your profile. You can delete your whole account from Profile → Delete Account, or by following the steps on our account deletion page. Deleting your account removes your library and personal data, except for records we must keep by law.
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to access, correct, export or restrict the use of your personal information, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
8. International transfers
LenzVive is based in Canada. Our service providers, including the AI providers listed above, process data in the United States and other countries. Where required we use contractual safeguards to protect information that is transferred outside your country.
9. Children
Lenz AI is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Security
All data travels over encrypted connections, and access to stored content is restricted to your authenticated account. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your login credentials private and tell us right away if you suspect unauthorised access.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Lenz AI evolves. We will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we will notify you in the app.
