How Much Does a FOOH or CGI Ad Cost in 2026? Real Prices, Explained

Sports Experts — AI Product Film

Short answer: a single fake out-of-home (FOOH) or CGI ad costs between $2,000 and $8,000 at most studios, and a multi-film campaign runs $10,000 to $40,000 or more. At LenzVive a launch ad is a fixed $2,500 CAD, delivered in two days. Here is where those numbers come from and what moves them.

What you are paying for

A FOOH ad is a small visual-effects project. The cost is time: tracking the camera move in the plate, building or adapting a 3D model of your product, lighting it to match the real scene, simulating anything that moves (leaves, dust, cloth, water), rendering, compositing, and sound design. A nine-second clip can be 30 to 60 hours of work for one artist, which is why hourly studios quote from about $45 an hour and land around $1,800 to $2,700 for a simple scene.

The five things that change the price

  1. The product model. A can, a bottle or a box is quick. A car, a building or a character with cloth and hair takes days.
  2. Simulation. Anything that has to react to the stunt, such as leaves scattering, a curtain unfurling or a crowd looking up, adds hours of physics work.
  3. Length and shots. One continuous 9-second shot is the sweet spot. Every extra cut is a new track, new lighting and new render.
  4. Turnaround. Two days costs more than two weeks. Most studios add 30% to 50% for rush work.
  5. Usage rights. Organic posting is usually included. Paid media usage, long licences and global rights are extra.

Is it worth it?

Compare it with the alternatives. A real building wrap in a major city costs tens of thousands in production and permits, plus the media. A real stunt needs a crew, insurance and a closed street. A FOOH film needs a phone clip and a few days. Our street sweeper film reached about 30 million people, 99% of them non-followers, for the cost of one launch ad and zero media spend. Not every film does that, but the downside is a $2,500 video that still performs like a good organic post.
